McWilliam's wins another 'Most Successful Exhibitor' trophy

McWilliam's Wines has been named Most Successful Exhibitor at the Perth Wine show where it won 3 trophies, 4 gold medals (including 3 Top Golds), 7 silver medals and 10 bronze medals. The show attracted 2,555 entries.

This is the sixth time this year that McWilliam's has won the trophy as the Most Successful Exhibitor -- its other successes were at Sydney, Brisbane, Cowra, Griffith and Melbourne.

At Perth, in addition to the Most Successful Exhibitor Trophy, the company also won:

These two wines also won Top Golds in their respective classes. Another Top Gold winner was the Sunstone Luscious Fruity White wine from the Riverina. The other gold medal winner was the McW11 Show Reserve Muscat, also from the Riverina.

BRL Hardy won 4 trophies, 17 gold medals, 28 silver and 58 bronze medals at the Perth show. Its new Australian sparkling wine brand, Arras, took out the trophy for Best Sparkling Wine of the Show with the yet-to-be-released 1995 Pinot Noir Chardonnay. The group's Houghton Wine Company won trophies for the best white wine of the show and best WA table wine of the show with its 1998 Crofters Chardonnay.
