DM Plastics & Steel is a privately owned manufacturing company, started in 1983 to supply innovative products into the viticultural and horticultural industry. More specifically the company specialises in the development and manufacturing of efficient and technologically sound long-term solutions to equipment requirements in the viticulture industry. The Vinstake System has been developed by DM Plastics & Steel for grapevine trellising in both old and new vineyards. The low cost galvanised rolled ‘C‘ section provides a semi-flexible post, which is ideal for harvesting and pruning. The Vinstake's unique multiple wire snap-in tab, efficiently secures the cordon and drip line wires. Foliage wires are easily hooked in and out of the springy, wire snap-in tab. The company has developed the Vinstakes for use with low-cost wire lifting machines that take the enormous effort out of seasonal foliage wire lifting. The Vinstake guard, a vee section of poly may be fitted into the Vinstake tab allowing the wire to run in poly and therefore minimise wire wear.

The Vinstake is being developed to have other options such as a plain base and tabs which may be turned down where necessary in undulating conditions.

We currently supply products to a number international vineyard areas such as major sales to New Zealand.

DM Plastics & Steel also manufacture the popular Prudent Trellis Clip, preinserted dripline and poly wire ties for trellis systems.
